Building and Growing Your Network

There's a good chance that, over time, your network will be what keeps you working most of the time. That's what happened to me: after my first 6 months, I only used my network to find new assignments, and that's still the case today.

But as a dev, building and maintaining your network sounds like sales jargon and isn't necessarily exciting, but keep in mind that if you produce quality work, your network will grow fast enough without you having to spend time on it.
