Evaluating Your Daily Rate

Before you can land your first assignment, you need to be able to assess your daily rate for your web development services—this is what's called the TJM (Average Daily Rate).

First, you need to start from a reference figure, like a fixed net salary that allows you to live comfortably, based on your lifestyle, your city, and your situation. This could be your former salary, or a higher goal that motivates you, but to start out I recommend staying reasonable—nothing stops you from raising your rates later.
